1. The Singing Ringing Tree Fat Page - back, 2. Garden Journal,
3. Volume 2 page 31a, 4. looking forward to spring,
5. sugarsnappeas, 6. Everything has gone green,
7. Fabric Paper, 8. Plans and Big Ideas!!!, 9. Day in the Garden
These are pics found on a hunt for Garden Journal inspirations, over at dear flickr.
Something about each of the pics appeals to me, and I am warming up to getting on with creating my very own Lovely Garden Journal. The on-paper version, which will likely be translated to onscreen version somewhere along the way too.
My big thanks to the generous gardening artists at flickr.
Click pic for larger version of the mosaic, and click the links to go to each pic,
and to the sets and pools thereafter.
While sleuthing, I found a link, via this pic, to this good page of Garden Journal-ness.
I'll look again at my copy of Mixed Media Nature Journals.
And I'll have another peep at my ole fave, Derek Jarman's Garden.
I love that book. It helped me dream well of having a Proper Garden, when I had only tubs of trees and pots of plants braving central London with me.
And now we all breathe easier here on the UrbanRural fringe of Norwich, I feel a little celebratory artistry coming on through...
Today a big golden DragonFly visited and stayed for Quite Some Time.

I do enjoy large, on-one-page, illustrated lists of books. Seeing a bunch of Beauty-full covers together onscreen, and being able to click them for quick info, is a particular pleasure.
One just found; good at least for the initial finding of lovelygardening treasure, is the Gardens Illustrated Bookshop.
Amazon is the place I usually go, to figure
the best available prices.
Sometimes they are there, sometimes The
Book Depository is better.
A few swift clicks between the two has
it covered.
And it's not always about buying - sometimes just the inspiration of the idea of the book, is enough.
The cyberbrowse.
And sometimes, in exceptionally patient times, I add a desired volume to my Amazon lovelygardener wishlist, to see if it's still calling me in a while...
The ones that have called clear enough to make it from screen into my home are all in my steadily-growing lovelygardener cyberlibrary - always reachable thru the sidebar widget too.
Just sose yknow.

I haven't seen or heard this little cutey in a few days.
I did see an Enormous Toad, for a few minutes, till it pottered off under the fence. I was thrilled to see it, sad to see it go. "Come back and eat the slugs!" I pleaded; to no avail...
And these three Beauties are on their way back now to whence they came:
I learn about Transience in My Lovely Garden.
Nothing stays the same for very long overhere.
Beauty comes, Beauty goes.
I learn to appreciate what's here; juss passing thru, like us all.
And while we are here:
studio G is a current favourite exploration zone, where I've found many a treasure and excellent signpost.
Be prepared to spend A While enjoying the various gem-laden departments you'll find overthere...

To celebrate the goodness which I am finding along the way,
in a garden which I have been with since September 2008.
Beginning this journal in June 2009,
having fallen completely in Love with all that living with a Proper Garden entails.
Books and tools and all manner of Things will be mentioned, and
there will be pics and links galore overhere, soon.
