C and S came over today, and we made SpringySprites to brighten our Spirits. Sprite-making is a good way to lift Spirits, we found. C, who is 6, took the pic of S and me. Click pics to see more Sprite-ness.
S reckoned my wild-haired little being has Mythical energy. I reckon they are all kindred SpiritSprites with the B'Fly Girls. And that they might flitter up to play in The Truly Spacious Grove while we are asleep.... xxx xxx xxx
Hurrayyyy.... I got round to getting these sweet pixels from camera to screen. Fay and Anam came to visit me in late December - a few days before InsaneFlu showed up.... So lovely to meet friends made online. And this pic is of pre-Freestyle Girl!
Thanks for all kind comments and mails about The Truly Spacious Grove. I'll continue to mention it in each post here, for a while - and there is a link to it now too, in my projects list, top-right.
The other addition to that list is spacious makings. I decided to play with a new annexe - coinciding with another couple of newnesses going on overhere. I'll be aiming to keep more of a commentary happening over there, on stitchery and creative playroom allsorts, while letting truly spacious be as eclectic as ever ~ and maybe even more so. I'll give it a try anyways, and see how it feels... xxx xxx x xxx xxx
I want to keep the next post near to the top, so here's a wee click-to-see pic, to Welcome the New Fire Pig Year. Goodbye, Fire Dog, and Thank You. I decided, during my Pigpic research, to affiliate with the Wild varieties this year - the Hogs, the Boar, the Wild Pigs. I find them all very beautiful. Then, last night I learned that Wild Boar may one day be rooting around The Truly Spacious Grove! Hurrrrayyy!!! More fab pics of these glorious beings may become visible here, in time. For now, this little offering. Happy New Year! xxx
My big thanks to the Trees For Life people who took my request and ran with it, actualising my desire in a matter of hours. How brilliant. I am so excited to announce this now.
Basically: I have (with lots of kind and efficient enablement!) created the beginnings of The Truly Spacious Grove. There is now a cyber-portal through which anyone, including you, may initiate the planting of Trees within this Grove, which will soon be in an actual, visitable, place, in Scotland. Isn't that Marvellous?!
I've written more overthere on the page; please visit - and please; feel welcome to think of The Truly Spacious Grove as somewhere you can join in with growing.
It's my intention that it really is open for anyone who visits here, to also visit the portal page, perhaps to plant, maybe to breathe deeper for a moment while you read and Dream.
Oh I am just so happy that I've done this. I hope you'll join in and enjoy this too. Imagine! Imagine what could happen if we all get into a habit of planting trees there - a £5 investment, for Multibillion-Feelgood-Moments, whenever we have something to celebrate, or feel the need for a spot of equilibrium re-instatement action. Oooooh!!! Imagine. (I know I'm Not The Only One...)
Mongolian Felt Making. The making of a Yurt: community creativity. A Beautiful short video, made by gawara; director Chris McKee.
The Column is a real treat too.
Which led me, via his clever ragcha site to his treasure-filled mujaan site - the short vids there are also lovely.
From One To All is another juicy joy to behold.
Thank you for your fine work, Chris McKee.
In other news... There is a Truly Spacious Grove brewing.
Exciting! I'll say more soooon....
Happy Weekend wishes to you.
"This year, TreeTwisthave produced a limited edition LoveTwist to celebrate Valentine's Day, and love in general. Buy a LoveTwist and we will planttwo trees side by side in the Caledonian Forest in North West Scotland, to spend their lives together. What could be more romantic?"
Oh my heart sings to see this Trees for Lifeproject:
