Swirls, flourishes, scrolls. Call them what we will, they are all over the place, and there is clearly an en masse going~nuts~for~them at the moment.
I experience them as some kind of nourishment ~ deliciousness that goes deeply beyond decoration.
I reckon they are visual clues to qualities of our times: Feminine Chaos prevailing, and I intend investigating fully, all Winter long.
Fascinations with the curlyness isn't a New Thing, eh ~ some stones have been sporting them for A Long Time. I was really pleased earlier when I suddenly saw the reflections...
These fine specimens are: "My Minds Eye" 'gingerbread' paper. A fern, unfurling. Aberlemno stone (my best stone in the whole wide world). Hero Arts 'flourish frame' stamp. New Grange stone. Stampington wrought scroll stamp.
It's been a big joy to re-discover the worlds of scrapbook supplies again recently.
Stash gathering brings a particular pleasure. Leading to Flourishing, scrolling and swirling in glorious excess. There are books and fabrics too. Of course.
And finally for this post, I give a big grateful salute to the wondrous Spatone,too;
bringing me my new blood-ballerinas, in such a good way.
