* Allsorts at CandleGrove. I like their opening blessing lines: "May your celebration of this season of holidays draw deep from the abundant joy, fierce hopes, and enduring traditions of all of our ancestors". Yes.
* And finally for now: First Snow pics at Flickr. Dreamdreamdream...
**Lani is reading and baking up a quiet rebellion against the pushy seasonal email bombard. (And This 'Daily Om' article, 'Celebrating What Truly Counts' suggests a way to "set
the intention to use this season as a time to consciously rejoice in
and express our appreciation for the blessings we have.")
**Jim has some grand and helpful insights into our mighty moving times, as ever. (There are also helpful insights into our mighty moving times over at the Evolutionary Astrology December forecast.)
*And here's another couple of cardscans from my recent makings. Please feel free to use them for any non-commercial creativity, if you'd like to. I'd enjoy to see anything you rustle up from them. (Click Larger).
Keeping it simple overhere. Recovering strength and wellness, after illness and depletion, has brought me the ability to avoid the shopping craziness even more than usual this year. Cosyness and simplicity are rich foods too.
The 3D spinning animation version at the site made me gasp with appreciation.
I mean, I liked the olden days of cutting and snipping paper, and the semi-olden days of pretend cutting and snipping online at Make-a-Flake, but this evolves the artistry into delicious new terrain. So Lovely. Thank you, Zefrank, and the women who found you first. There are more toys over there for further sleuthing, too.
* And I must say my annual Thank You to dear Mr Wilson A. Bentley, who is the Grandfather of Snowflake-Love, really. Focus, Passion, Enthusiasm, Commitment, Perseverance, Beauty, Innovation. Thank You, Mr Bentley for the pics of uniqueness that you made while you were here, doing what you had to do. xxx
Listening earlier to DJ Snoman's wonder-filled "Christmas Remixed" selections led me to acquire Platonic's splendid version of the song whose music is portrayed here. Portrayal courtesy of the very generous takeabreak, who has posted sacks full of lovely copyright-free visual material. And yes there was a mighty moment of synchronice-ity when I realised that what I was looking at matched what I was hearing. Honest; it happened that way. I love the internets. And all the playful spirits who bring these things about. Comfort and Joy, and Rest. I also acquired 'Snowflakes Falling, Movement III', and 'We Three Kings', both also from the Christmas Eclecticalbum, and the latter led me to Afterhours. 'Squisite December wee small hours listenings. xxx
ps. I clicked the 'remixed' link, to check it works after publishing, and the station was playing another version of the song. Whossssgoinon? It does play many many other songs too...
Here's the first one...There are more on the way. A combination of stamp, collage and digital play. If you'd like a higher resolution version of this to print out, email me and I can send one through to you. xxx
I wanted to see snow today, before I began making cards. So off I went, cyberhunting, and found this (on the left) and several others at PD Photo.org.
I'll sprinkle some others which I found there, around here soon. And some other snowy treats. I do like snowyness.
This pic reminded me of one which my dear departed Dad snapped, one morning outside a youth hostel, in the nineteen-fifties, in Scotland. (on the right...)
When we were looking at this pic together, he said he'd wanted to show the crystal sparkles. I loved what that told me about the way he was looking and seeing, that frosty morning a decade before I was born. (Click both pics to see clearer sparkles.)
Warm hallo to my visitors arriving via Something Sublime. Thank you for dropping over!
A lovely tuturial for Molly's Star Ornaments, found via chatiryworld - Thanks, Katherine! And Thanks, to The Purl Bee - for many tutorials overthere... Sometimes I enjoy to be walked through a process, and to be shown details.
Now, about those cards.... coming soon. And pics. I got around to uploading pics from the camera, to make room to take more. I mentioned things were slow overhere. There were pre-Hallowe'en pics in there.
One more treat: this lovely hanging by Chrissy Howes is called 'Full of Grace', and it makes me want to make something. First, there are some cards to complete... xxx
