So; flickr drew me in again. It is just such a richly-stocked treasure trove. And such a sweet playground.
One of the quilt artists whose work is in my new gallery, (see previous post), has a fab-you-lous selection of faves. Maybe others do, too - but this is the one which I discovered today. Rosa Pomar's flickrfaves.
I didn't move past it, except to follow labyrinthian trails thru sets, pools and whatnots it pointed to. I kept returning to the same faves set for more, tho. And there are still tens of pages there which I haven't visited yet. YumYum! ~ abundance. Most of the pics above came from, or via, the pages which I did visit.
It is so lovely when a deep new stream of enjoyable resonance appears, eh.
Previous mosaics I have made are now visible all in one big bunch - clickclick.
As always, warm thanks to all the artists who took these pics ~ for Beauty and generosity.
I was thinking edgier-style quiltlet comforter than the previous two, for the teenage kids who go to the Women's Refuge where I am aiming to send these. The amidst-trauma kids who may be in the "I don't want a silly comfort blanket" zone. I am thinking Secret-Squirrel tactics, and making the kind of cool~edge that they might go for. Anyways, that was my initial impulse, but this one turned out rather more Japanese Garden-esque inclined. I'll aim to rough it up a little more in my next one...
My 20 year-old assistant Bruce looked at the quiltlet I made prior to this one and said; "It's like a gateway to inner Peace. Anyone would feel better looking at that." Isn't that just Lovely??
