(Self)Portraits of a fifty-year-old jaihn; enjoying the wild Grace and Divine Artistry of David Bowie.
I was ten when he was first skinny-drape androgynising Top Of The Pops. The playground always buzzed on the following days. Forty years since.
Watching him perform on the tv feast this weekend reminded me, o, that man is one of the beings I am deeply grateful to, for bringing it all on thru, for bringing joys to my time here, too. I didn always like all his music. I like seein his performances; the craft, his disciplined ease, his fiercely worked-for freedom and radiant equilibrium, the inspiration in his expression.
His brave awakener Spirit.
And I just adore his voice in it's subtle subtle range.
