What could that be, sitting there, exuding Mystery, on my Beauty~Full newOld guillotine?

Yes! It's my very own not-vintage Rotadex Thing! In a not-vintage cool-shaped Black Box!

Yesterday the cards started Happening:

and today another one:

and then, of course, ensued some scanning, and snapping. Which, of course, means playing on my glorious new-and-definitely-not-vintage laptop...

and a little light wrestling with the portrayal of the pinks, and the golds...

and while none of these pics quite manages all the vibrant glowing of the original, you get the idea.
The cards are wee - just A7 size. They suit my flibbertygibbet creative nature very nicely; to work for very short spells and still to arrive at 'Done'. So satisfying.
The box was a happy accident of fitting. I ordered it for a simple cards-in-box project, which began as an offshoot of making 'the thing' book. I'd enjoyed making a card for that and wanted more...
Then I saw this lovely work, by patty van dorin, and off I went...following the trail of 'yes'.
I looked briefly at the vintage card-holders, but they are few and far between here in the UK, and crazy costly from the U.S. Finally I figured that the base isn't visible anyways, once the cards get cooking, so I plumped for a newfangled version.
Then came the fab surprise, when the deck fitted snugly into the box - they arrived on the same day, and asked sweetly to sit together in their new home... I like how it all feels, now, too. It has a treasure-chest quality... and a bendyness of juxtapositioning possibilities...and an inviting-creativity air, altogether.
Another Good Thing to have come from participating in Ticket To Venice.

Another-Another Good Thing that I want to flap around here now is my new pinterest gallery - artistry of pages.
I've gathered all manner of inspirations there, fired up as I make 'the thing', and follow trails of creativities.
Have a wander there, if you will. Here's a peep:

I imagine there may be further reports of papery makings here, before long, too...
